The School is established by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, and managed by an autonomous body called theNational Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS) . The EMRS, Jonai is started from the academic year 2025-26 to impart quality education to ST children in remote areas in order to enable them to avail the opportunities in high and professional educational courses and get employment in various sectors.
